Ok Guys, thanks to MRW, who hooked me up on the saiga fore grip. My .308 vepr is complete, atleast for now, Heres a pic.  Its a chaote drag sytle stock with a 1" cheek riser Kalinka 8x 42 posp pro scope with butler creek flip ups and ARD Phantom non crenalated flash hider/ muzzle break combo. Harris bipod Honestly I only have about 700 dollars in this gun. Other things I may do to it are. Ventilate to gas tube and replace the recoil spring,(Depending on what metroplex has to say about these mods) I will soon me converting to cheek riser to a quick detatch system, as it sets too high to use the orin sights which I will be replacing with a Krebs peep site and a 24/7 trituim front sight post... I also may be cutting 3 diagonal vents in the foregrip, Kinda like a Mako shark, Just for looks though. Now I gotta get it out to the range.....Hopefully she will shook as good or better as MRWs did... ETA, Heres a pic of it by the 5.45 I also love to show off  I can get em up close or far away... The 5.45 already has the 24/7 and may be wearing a kobra or other red dot within the next few months..... |
| No, I had drill a new hole for the slingstud/retainer screw. While I was there I went ahead and recessed for the metal plate that reinforces the screw. I also had to Cut the lips on the front of the handguard as the Saigas are apparently smaller in the gas block area...I would show pics of it but they kinda look like crap since I did it with a dremel. i will fix it when school starts back and i have access to the mills again..... |
| I was finger banging it today and my wife was like.....Thats a nice gun....I said I like it alot. She said...Is it yours....I looked at her like she was stupid, then explained. She said it looks way better than it did....Hopefully i can shoot it within the next couple of weeks, But we are closing on a house and moving so....probably not... |
