I am planning on building a krink using a Yugo M92 kit or a Bulgy krink kit. My dilemma is that I'm undecided on either purchasing a "virgin kit" or a demilled kit. The virgin kit is obviously going to require more time and skill he
Is it wise to go with a virgin or demilled kit for my first build? I plan on avoiding the SBR/NFA paperwork so I will likely add a barrel extension or a long permanently attached flash suppressor. I also plan on going with a bent receiver from Nodakspud or a flat from akbuilders. Does anyone know of a more suitable choice for the receiver? Have any of you recently undertaken a project like this? Any comments would help.

Thanks in advance....

better bet would be the de-milled kit. Good luck finding either.

de-mill kit is the way to go for a DIY who has already assembled
afew kits...
But you will pay either way you go.
$$$ for a demil kit
or $$$ to have someone assembil a virgin kit.

I am going to be putting up my Yugo M92 w/side fold stock on the EE
today.....

Thanks for the input.... I will go with the demilled kit, probably from ORF provided they have them in stock. I noticed they are running around $650. Anyhow, again I appreciate all the helpful feedback. If any one else would like to continue posting comments I appreciate it.

Thx,

K-Var has de-milled Bulgarian's on sale till Friday Sept 5th for 15% off

Just get yourself a Nodak Spud receiver and don't look back

You are also going to need a barrel extension and a set of Bulgarian Rivets, you can get that from K-Var too

I built my Krink on Monday, I just wish I would have built it a couple of years ago

I'm confused.  If you're bulidng a Krink, but have no intention of going SBR, then why not just get a 74?  I'm still pretty new to this game and I'm having a Krink built, right now, but I have every intention of going SBR, that is why I got the Krink.  I was under the impression a Krink was a SBRed 74.  Can someone explain?

bikeman543,

I think because the Krinkov is a coveted weapon....it has the obvious appeal. A lot of people for varios reasons don't SBR their new Krink builds immediately but have plans to eventually put it on a Form 1 and pay the stamp at a later time. Two ways of doing this is to make it a pistol or add a permanent barrel extension (can or long flash suppressor) by pinning/welding it in place and then removing it at a later time. Either way the person avoids making an immediate decision to register his or her weapon. Hope this helps...

Since it looks like that you are going to be doing the assembly.
I highly recomend that you go with a 100% reciver.

One more option is to put a 16" barrel on it if you can find one.

Genis_7,
Thanks for the input.  I'm having the can put on mine, just cause I'm broke.  Right when I started gathering the parts the wife decided she wanted a new house.  So, I will be getting it with the can and as soon as I get it paid off (credit card) and save up another $200, I will be hitting the Form 1.  But, my intention was to go SBR from the start.  I just didn't think many people left the Krinks with a long barrel.

SBR it.  Youll be happier, and NFA items dont have to be 922r compliant. Youll spend almost $200 on a fake can and other compliance parts anyways.

I did 4 Bulgy AKS-74U Krink K-Var kits. Bulgy is the way to go in my opinion, I like the 5.45 cartridge less recoil and ammo is cheap. My vote is for demilled Bulgy kit with NDS-2SF premium receiver with reinforcement plate.

Also thanks for the heads up on the sale at K-Var!
MUST HAVE MORE BULGY KRINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
