Tough decision.  Which one do you think is the better buy?

I really like that darker colored furniture on the Vector but the Lancaster Consulting seems to have it on the bells and whistles.

Here too.

The Vector says wood color may vary. I have never heard of Lancaster Consulting before I read it on the Atlantic website. I'd go Vector for that very reason.

The lancaster looks better, wood and finish. I have never considered getting a vector partially because of their grey finish.

I mailed off a check today for the akm 47rm by lancaster.  Atlantic Firearms is also giving a nice discount for those who are members of ar15.com.  I will give a range report when it gets here, should be a week or so.

The Lancaster looks way better to me, but it's just a picture, in an add, online. Ya gotta take it with a grain of salt.

I do know that I've never liked the grey park of Vectors either.

Hmmm... GunKote isn't an epoxy.

Thanks for the feedback/opinions.  I'm curious to see some real end user experiences.  Especially with the Lancaster since it seems to be a bit of a wildcard.  Definitely seems to have the checklist of features going for it though eh?  :)

That darker color wood furniture on the Vector sure looks sharp though.  To bad there is no guarantee as far as what color you end up with though.

Both rifles are great and you you would not go wrong with either unit , the Lancaster comes with a few more features &  the lifetime warranty. Most of the Vector wood rifles have been shipping with medium- light wood colored stock sets.

Just nitpicking, But I think the handguard on the Lancaster used to be VFG Romanian with the foregrip cut off and the whole thing refinished.  No AKM bulges in the handguard.

I had never heard of Lancaster before reading this thread, but the specs sound better than Vector IMO.

I will be watching out for ncguy's range report.

And BTW welcome to the board, ncguy
