| I'm sure this has been asked before but are you guys really SURE that a loose fitting muzzle device (slant or any other style brake) won't affect accuracy? |
| I saw somewhere that a guy did several shots with the muzzle brake on then took it off and the shot pattern was in a different place. He also did a test on several different muzle brakes and they were all different patterns. If you were to take your brake off then re-sighting would probably be best. |
Not sure but let me know whenever you try it out...the comp that is b/c I'm thinking of getting one....that vid they had awhile back won me over! |
I get the feeling you just like to shoot to hear the bang but i like to know where mine's hitting for those pesky varmits. |
it will affect accuracy, at least mine did till i sanded off the excess and made it good and snug, then the groups were the same as without the brake |
No, if I REALLY need to hit something with decent accuracy and/or at a longer range I'd use a more appropriate rifle. A loose muzzle nut is only one of a few factors that limit it's accuracy. Why single out one issue when there are others as well? There's a lot of play inside an AK! |

Gotta agree w/ Dave If you want an accurate AK or variant....go w/ an Arsenal milled or VEPR... There's just too much flex around the receiver to be a 1" MOA tack driver on a std. AK...w/ that said...I'm sure some standard run of the mill AK's are damn accurate. ETA: ammo also plays a huge factor... |
