Has anyone built one of the Zastava M92 naked kits yet??  They consist of all new parts, and I am wondering how hard they really are to build.  Should be about like a regular build except you don't have to press out the barrel, remove any old rivets, etc.  I know I will have to headspace, drill the barrel pin, and other pins.  I am considering one, just don't know for sure if I should try it or not.  Also, does this require a bulged receiver, or a standard one.  I would like to do one as a pistol.

They use the regular type reciever, it does not have a bulged type trunion. ORF "naked" kits come with the real rails and a rivets set too.

I think someone over at Gunco.net has finished a naked kit.  You might try doing a search on it over there.  I believe you have to drill the gas port hole in the barrel too if I'm not mistaken.

I have built several of these kits. The gasport holes were already drilled in the ones I got. If not....so?

I did one a few weeks ago. Built it as a pistol for now. Waiting on the election for a new sherrif so I can get the form 1 for sbr signed off.
As far as the build itself it wasn't hard. First off none of the pin hole are drilled. The barrel will need the relief cut for the extractor. I cut mine .040" deep. This worked fine.
This is basicly the order in witch I put mine together.

1 Fit front and rear trunnions to receiver. Drill holes and rivet.
2 Mill extractor clearance on breech end of barrel.  .040" deep
3 Press in barrel and head space. Drill for barrel pin and press in pin.
4 Press on top cover hindge. Drill and pin.
5 Locate and mill gruve for lower hand gaurd retainer.
6 Locate and brill gas port.  .137" dia.
7 Presson front sight block. Drill and pin.

The rest of the assembly is pretty basic.

Here is a pic of the finished pistol.

Dont the gas port holes have to be drilled at an angle?
