I know there is no ban at the present time, but is it legal to change the thumbhole stock out with a pistol grip & underfolder on a Norinco Mac-90. I'm knew to AK's.

Yes, it's OK to "de-ban" your post-ban MAK-90 at present. As long as you adhere to the US parts count requirement that rifle.
