Does anyone know what size die / threads to use for threading a MAK 90?
I understand i can just use calipers or sizing rings (currently have neither, looking to save a few bucks) but I was thinking maybe someone around here might have the answer already.

No one will have the answer until you measure with calipers as not all have the same diameter as some had the barrel turned down.  You will either use a 14x1 Left hand metric die (M14X1LH Die for 0.551" to 0.571" o.d. barrels) or a die made to thread an AR barrel (1/2-28RH) in right hand threads.

Remember, real Chinese military AK's used by Chinese soldiers in China did not have threaded barrels. There are many photo's that show this, however, guns they exported to other countries did.  GARY

Understood.
Im not so much worried about it being historically accurate or correct.
Ive kicked around the idea of completely "debanning" it but i dont want to spend the time or the cash.
Mainly want the option of throwing on a muzzle device.

I'm in the same situation as you and have asked some questions down in the Chinese sub-forum. I'm having the issue now of looking for a front sight base with a plunger, or info on how to do it myself.

I was wondering this myself. Ive read a few old debanning threads where people have drilled the hole for the detent. I have also read it may be possible to use a crush washer. Can anyone verify?

crush washer will work just fine.  you'll need to get a 14mm specific one (assuming you thread 14x1LH) or open up a 1/2" one to get a good fit.

I dont think it would be hard to drill it yourself

When I find the time and patience I am going to order the plunger and spring and drill mine out

I'm not planning on even removing the FSB i should only need to drift the front pin out
