I was looking at a Maadi receiver online and I cannot figure out what the part that I've circles in the photo is. I appreciate your input. Thanks!

It is holding the hammer and trigger pins in place. It is a bent piece of wire that is under tension and rides in grooves of the pins.

Interestingly enough, that's how the wire retainer is installed in my Maadi RML.

You guys are right. The Maadis used bent full auto Shepards hooks.
