Bought as Saiga magazine, 7.62X39mm, 30rnd capacity, etc.

I noticed the feed-lip (if that's the correct terminology? Feed-ramp?) looked as though it might be a later addition.
It is quite roughly built in comparison to the rifle and other accessories. I have another magazine that's very similar style, but the feed-lip is too low for it to function with a Saiga.

This one does feed properly, but for the cost (magazines for anything but ARs can be a small fortune over here), it would be nice to know where it came from.

Hi mate, Oleg at Rusmilitary sells AK mags modified like that to fit Saigas....i bet its one of his as i bought one the same off him.Fit a feed ramp mate, that way you can get cheap milsurp mags, i get mine from saracenexports in Staffordshire (look online,they do 4 30r steel mags in a pouch for £35 inc delivery!!!).Feed ramp is a piece of piss to do, has your Saiga got a flat trunnion?, if it has its even easier.If you have any questions drop me a pm

Ps saracenexports also do oh so sexy Izhmash and Tula 7.62 bakelite mags for £30 a pair......and they are in mint condition with inspectors stamps.

It is one of his, yes. I may add a bullet guide at some point, but I don't really need more than two or three magazines. We just don't get the range time down here to fire more than 50ish rounds per session.

SW England, about 11 miles outside Salisbury. Fantastic hunting, crap, crap range access and target sports! Mostly shoot at Bisley these days since the MOD just can't accommodate many civilian range bookings.
