Have a 58 on order.
Going to a gun show this weekend. How do I tell the difference between the 58 mags and a ak47 mag?

The seller would probably be able to tell you. At least he should. If he doesn't know, walk away.

The 58 has a pronounced rib on the back where the bolt hold open tab rides inside, AK's are flat across the back.

VZ58 mag is made of aluminum and weighs about 1/3 the weight of a steel AK mag.

And the rib on the VZ mag isn't centered, it's off to one side, and about a quarter of an inch wide. But I'd be surprised if you come across any VZ mags at a show, I've only seen one and it was priced at $50, way too much.

I just bought some vz58 mags from Numrich Arms
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1431820.htm
They were $24.95 and they are new aftermarket.
I will see if they are good-to-go when I get them.

I picked up some blemished vz58 mags from Czechpoint and quite happy with them. They have a black finish vs the Century mags I received with the rifle. Their fitment was better as well (the vz58 ones) as they didn't have any play once seated into the rifle.
