Does anybody know what holds the muzzle brake pin in the front sight housing? One of the AMD-65 kits that I have came with the muzzle brake screwed down tight but the index pin wasn't in the groove and now it seems to be depressed into the front sight housing and is stuck flush. Any suggestions? Kroil isn't working and I can't push the index pin in any further than it already is. It may be that there isn't a spring installed behind it at all. How do I get the index pin out?

Here is a sketch I made the front  pin that retains the front sight on the barrel also retains the muzzle brake retaining pin. The notch in the mbr pin hits the front sight retaining pin and stops it from coming out.
You will have to use a punch and hammer to remove the front sight retaianing pin driving it from the right side of the rifle to the left. The right side of the rifle is the one that your right hand is on when the rifle is against your shoulder when you fire it. Once the pin is out you can use a dental pick, ice pick,needle,etc.... in the pin hole to pry on the mbr pin out enough to grab it with some pliers.
