Does anyone know where I can buy a U.S. made slanted muzzle brake that will fit the threads on a Chinese NHM AK?  I tried to install one that was on my Vector underfolder and it would not thread on but about 1/3 of the way.  I'm thinking the threads don't match.  Thanks for your reponse.

1/3 of the way is pretty far for it to thread on if the thread pitch is wrong on the brake.

You sure it wasn't the detent holding it up?

Well whose version did you buy?

I got it past the detent and it was going on ok.  Then it got harder and harder to turn, until it would not thread on anymore.  I too scared to force it.  The slanted brake came with the Vector (U.S. made) and I was trying to get it to fit on the Chinese NHM.

The detent is the pin that keeps it from backing off and if you get it to the detent it should have been almost completely on.  Some slant brakes I have tried on rifles just don't bottom out completely against the FSB, where other muzzle devices will.

How about a picture and measure the length of the threaded barrel from the FSB to the muzzle.  Some have had to bore the slant brakes out some to get them to fit flush.
