I got to shoot 30 rounds of Winchester 170 grain soft points through her yesterday. I had a few failures to chamber and I noticed copper smear on the edge of the feed ramp so a little polish is in order there. Also had a few stovepipes but I had the gas block turned down to 1 so that's probably my fault. The range I was at only goes to 30 yards so I left the scope at home and used the irons. All 30 rounds went into a half dollar sized hole so she is consistent. She has some rough edges but I think she'll come around with a little TLC.

I'm not real familiar with ORF receivers, but I do know that the last generation of their M76 receivers had the oval lightening cuts that always looked very odd to me. My M76 is built on a Wiselite receiver and it has the same shallow rectangular cuts that yours has. Many Wiselite receivers also have a somewhat rough surface to them with machine marks visible. If you have them, post up some close-up pics of both sides of the receiver. |

It starts where the stock/receiver join and runs down to the front edge of the lightening cut, the left side doesn't have any. |
