I'm about to order my fire control group for an AKMS that I'm going to have jnewt build for me.  I'm going with a Tapco G2 group.  This rifle will be built on a Global 1mm rx.  My question is what kind of FCG should I order?  A single hook or double hook or does it matter?  Thanks in advance.

From the pics i have found it looks like they are cut for a double hook trigger, but either one will work.

Call Jnewt and see if he has the G2 triggers at the shop.  Have him put it in if he does.

Better yet... Call up RSA and get one of their adjustable trigger sets.
They are a bit more money, but cant be beat for trigger pull and you will get a better end product.

Chances are, since you specified AKMS, is that it's a single hook.

The G2 is a great trigger. I have a RSA and a G2, and I like them both. The G2 is a nice, smooth single stage trigger, the RSA is an adjustable two-stage. For me, the RSA is a little overkill on an AK.

Thanks.  Global sells double hook sets and it says on their website that a slight modification must be performed on an AKM rx to make the double work.  Thank ya'll for the speedy replies.

The dounle hook needs an additional slot cut into the bottom of the receiver. It's not hard, but chances are that no matter which FCG you get, you'll need to do some slight Dremeling to get it to work properly. It's no bog deal - just a little filing here and there to stop parts from rubbing where they shouldn't be.

Going from single to double takes very little effort and Im sure JNewt isnt gonna mind either way.
