Hi there! I'm about to spend my Christmas cash on a Kalashnikov parts set, because nothing says "Happy Holidays" like the undesputed icon of terrorism and oppression.

Here's the problem... I've found both a Bulgarian AKS-74U kit and a Romanian RPK kit. I have been looking for a Romy RPK kit for God only knows how long, and just now happened to find one. (At a reasonable price, even!) But damned if that 74U doesn't just look awesome, not to mention K-VAR has them cheaper than I think I've ever seen. So my question is this: what do I get first? In the AR-15.com spirit, I will be getting both, but the second one is gonna have to wait for tax season. (I better get a decent refund...) So which one is less likely to be available for the same decent price two or three months from now? Also, does anyone happen to know any other places I might find these kits? I've only found one of each, at two different sites. Thanks for your input!

ETA: If I get the krink, I will be starting the process on SBRing it as soon as I buy a receiver. It'll doubtless be more expensive in the long run, but I can spread it out a little more so I'm not that worried about it.

RPKs seem to be fewer and farther in between. They are more costly. I would latch on to the RPK first and then go for the second. just my $0.02
