Hi there !

First of all, i'd like to explain that I am in Switzerland, and that our full auto AK's are perfectly legal.

today, I was with a friend, and I showed him how to build an AR from a stripped M16A1 lower (full) of mine. I took it apart, and build it again.

For some crazy reasons (can stop hitting my head on the wall) we decided to do the same (for mechanic curiosity I guess) we decided to do the same, with his Norinco full auto AK..

We build it back, but we are totally unable, even in 2, and with tools, to finish it... There is one spring that we cannot put in place (into the sear).

It's the spring that maintain all the pin in place, and that end up inside the "auto sear"....  to make it easier, I cannot make the AK47-5 spring fit into the AK47-3 sear, and the pin inside the sear at the same time (look here for parts numbers : http://www.e-gunparts.com/images/schematic/101ZzAK47.jpg )

I think we are not doing things in the proped order.. Is there someone who can explain me, or show me a link, on who to build this trigger group back again ?

thank you for your help. Much appreciated. I promise, I won't take this things appart again, and will stick with my easy AR's..

The short leg of the spring fits in the small hole in the auto sear. While i've never installed one, I suppose your install both of those in the receiver first, line them up and push the pin into the receiver, through the coiled part of the spring and the auto sear and into the hole in the other side of the receiver. Then install the hammer. When putting the hammer pin in, push down on the long leg of the spring because the long leg of the spring fits in the groove of the hammer pin on the bottom. Last, install the trigger and disconnector and the pin. Pull the long leg of the spring up when installing the trigger pin because it fits in the groove on top of the pin.

Ok, understood.

So I did it all the wrong way.. finishing by trying to put the spring leg in the sear, which is like "impossible".

I thank you. I will try it as you described and get back here.
