| Did Norincos ever come with a 5 round mag instead of a standard ten round? I have the chance to buy a Norinco for 350.00 and the guy says it has a 5rd mag? Could i be getting a deal on one that takes AK mags? Or did they make them with 5 round regular non-detachable mags? |

When I brought my Norinco SKS back in 93 (really does not seem that long ago ) I also picked up a 5 round Chinse made magazine for hunting (Texas required no more than a five round capacicy back then in an auto loader). It looks exactly like those in the pictures, is fixed, (not the ducked billed junk), matches my 10 round original perfectly except for the round count, and is marked made in China. After all these years of use I still have it installed in the rifle (yes along with the bubba fiber glass monte carlo black stock) and have not had any problems with it for over 1500 rounds and still counting. I never remember seeing one with a five round installed but it is possible they did (and for reference, when I purchased mine it still had the spike bayonet installed, and came from a dealer, the days of $125 to $150 SKS's, I sure do miss them).
