I ran across an Opap for sale today and I have a question.  The stock on this one does not have the crest OR a number engraved.  Anybody seen this?  I haven't and I am a little leery.  Everything else looks fine though.  Thoughts?

Got several of them in a few weeks ago.   They all had commercial stocks with rubber butt pads on them, not surplus stocks like they used to.

You have to understand, they are dealing with surplus parts. I too noticed this when we received a new shipment at work. They use whatever parts they have. While some buttstocks had the crest, others didn't. Either because they were made at different times, or used in different parts of the country. Look at Chinese AK's. The rule is there are no rules. Or look at the Hungarian AK's [SA85M] . Some had the normal gas tube, while others used the shorter tube from the AMD63. Like so many other industries, they use whatever parts they got to manufacture, & ship the product.  GARY

Unless it has a crazy price you should grab it.  If it has a new stock and you want an old one you can always change it later, think APEX still has some.
