| Going to get a a TRS-25 for my AK and was wondering what everybody's preference is for how to mount an optic. Scope mount rail like the AKSM from Midwest Industries, or something over the hand guard like the Ultimak or front end rail system? My guess is that it's a matter of preference, but is one better than the others? |

MRDs work wonderfully on an Ultimak. That would be my choice while running a TRS-25.

Where does one purchase the Ultimak ? I'm considering this upgrade myself as I'm currently running a side mount rail on a WASR. I looked on the famous auction site and amazon, happened to be the only 2 windows I had up.
