I have one. Under the rear lense, there is a knob with numbering (i.e. 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10....). I zeroed my slr105a1r at 25yds, at the 2.5 number. Are those numbers for 2.5=25yds/m, 5=50yds/m, 7.5=75yds/m? So far, no one can provide a definative answer. |

Tomac, There are Russian markings on the side mount, but the sight's body is clear of markings, with the exception of the cam/range markings. My PK AS has the red dot switch on the left. It's more of a silver lever. There are no adjustments for red dot brightness as with the newer model. 9.3? Explain please. |
IIRC the PK-AS was designed to be used on both the 5.45 AK's & the Bizon subgun world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm w/BDC's available for both the 5.45 caliber & the 9x18 Makarov (appx 9.2/9.3mm) cartridges. Sorry I wasn't more clear. Tomac |
The only difference between the military and original civilian model was exchanging the military BDC elevation wheel for the current 2moa elevation wheel. Later civilian models replace the single on/off toggle switch w/a variable brightness control. HTH... Tomac |
