So I got my kit in on Saturday and started to build this beast today.

This is one seriously nice rifle.  Everything ever said is true, the Polish quality is incredible.

Trunnions and trigger guard are in, the folder is installed, just need to put the barrel back and install the FCG...  then have to wait for more Moly-Resin to show up before I can finsih it.

BAH!  I hate it when I run outta stuff.

Anyone know if you can easily reach the lower rear trunion rivet on an underfolder with 36" cutter rivet squeezers?  You can't quite get there with 24's

Anyway I'll get some pics up soon.

Pookies web site had a section using a vise and some creative clamping and scrap steel to rivet them. I don't remember, but I would assume it's under the section on receiver construction.

I used my 36" Botl cutters to get all the rear trunion rivets, I did remove quite a git of material from the jaws, but it did the job, Mark.

Please pardon my lack of expertise:  what is the reasoning behind not refinishing the receiver before assembling the trunnions? I would think that that would better seal the metal in the blocked areas--

yep the 36 inchers will reach the lower rivets no prob

if you finish it befor you build it the parts will get skuffed and the rivets wont be done so you will just have to do it again anyway

What kind of receiver did you build yours on?  I'm shopping for a receiver for my PMKMS kit.

Global 1mm, it's the only receiver I use.
