I bought a Yugo this summer.  I haven't shot it yet.  I don't have the time.  Anways, last night I was looking down the barrel and saw some pitting.  How bad will this affect accuracy?  I'll still be able to shoot right?

P.S. Does anyone sell Yugo barrels.

Mine is pitted up pretty good also.  It still shoots OK though.  My greatest complaint about the pitted barrel is that it is a royal bitch to get clean.  If it really  bothers you it seems that it would be pretty easy, though time consuming, for a gunsmith to fit and contour a new barrel blank.

can yoiu get a gun barrel sleeved?   If you could maybe a chrome lining.  Doesnt help with corrosion.

If its pitted just clean with windex after shootingto prevent further corrosion followed by a good quality oil.  For the price of a Yugo SKS ( ~ $120)it is not cost effective to replace the barrel unless you can get one for free and do the work yourself.
