Assuming the election goes our way in November, when do you think the prices will drop and how much?
|
| It is hard to say to be hones because one of the local shops I visit he still has guns from the 2008 election sitting on the racks because he jacked up his prices as much as 20% above MSRP with the "gun grab" scare. I personally do not buy into it until I see it. Most dealers didn't buy into it for the most part but raised their prices not to gouging levels but reasonable to still make a profit and be competitive. I hate election years to be honest as we see this alot. |

Not much. The gun industry LOVES to scare gullible gun owners. If Mittens were to win, we'd be immediately deluged with reminders about how he signed the MA AWB, and "rumors" of "his secret anti-gun agenda". |

Mitt winning wouldn't be going "our way", he is responsible for the AWB being permanent in Mass.
For the election to go our way you'll need to be looking at Gary Johnson tbh. Anyway, enough of that, VEPRs have already started to come down in price, check out Centerfire. |

Lol I just said that because I believe mitt is the lesser of two evils by a long shot. Regardless, I guess to answer my own question, it seems like once the demand goes down and shops have a heavy amount of supply left is when we will see price drops accross the board. How long after the election do you all think it will take for the gun grabbing to slow down? Dont get me wrong, I think everyone should own an AK or just a firearm in general, but man this demand has me not being able to properly supply my addiction. I love wasrs but let's be honest, it's not a $525 rifle.

Beat me to it. Was going to say the same thing. Inflation and price inflation will be ongoing for the life of FRNs.
They won't drop at all, can you say FED. (printing money) Firearms will continue to go up over time just like they always have. HDH. Sure inflation has a lot to do with it but supply and demand have a lot to do with it also. $525 is not a fair price for a WASR10. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic rifle but the craftsmanship and materials don't equal the price tag at all. Because so many of these are in demand right now, they can easily justify the price tag because it's selling. So my real question is, when will the pre-election demand slow down? |

I would say that it depends on the rifles. I think most items will drop back down to reasonable levels, but some items introduced leading up to the ban will not go down in price. |
