So I got my new 10/63 today. I went to a local gun shop near my base, tried out a quick release mount. We did everything we could to make it clamp down on my rifle, even tried their rifle. Happened to be the same I got, but mine was $200.00 cheaper! Both are brand new rifles with no wear. Unless the mount they had for sale is just one POS, I can't figure out why it would not clamp down. Below is a close up of my rail, nothing looks wrong to me. Any suggestions for a quick disconnect, picatinny rail?

Did you adjust the tension on the lever?

My two personal favorites, I use both on my two .308 Veprs:

MI Mount

Molot Mount

Both are well made and rock solid on the rifle.

I use a BP-02 rail mount on some of my Romanian guns and you simply adjust the tension on the mount. I've found the Romanian rails are ever so slightly undersized versus Bulgarian or even Russian.
