Cleaned my WASR-10 last week and got to shoot it today. Ran a magazine through it flawlessly, except the second time I fired it it did a 2-round burst. Didn't do it again after that. When I loaded another magazine though, it didn't feed the rounds; each one slammed nose first into the receiver just below the chamber. It took several tries of inserting and removing the magazine before it would chamber a round properly. This was using a magazine that had been 100% reliable prior to this. So... what's up? |
If not that then you may have accidently bump fired it or the FCG could be not resetting correctly. Take Shrike37's advice and clean the firing pin channel. You need a punch and plastic mallet to remove the retaining pin. For the problem with the feeding it sounds like you are incorrectly seating the mag into the mag well by your description. Or you could have a mag problem which would be the first things to check for. Is this your first rifle of this type? |
To fix the issue of not all mags fitting run a dremel around the inside of the mag well. Century did a crappy job of converting these to hicaps. |
