How do Vector Aks measure up to all the rest are far as accuracy, reliability, and finish?
Also what would be a fair value for a Vector underfolder?/ |

Picked one up directly from Vector last year. Fit and finish is excellent. Not sure what country's parts were used but it is top notch. mine has a chrome lined barrel, park finish and fixed lam stock. It ran $475 + shipping and dealer transfer fee.
Knowing what I know now, I wish I had ordered 2 more. Didn't realize just how good the quality was until I started looking around at others on the market. For the price then, they could not be beat. Just picked up a ARS Rom "G" built. Fit on the Vector is as good or better than the ARS. |

I bet your Vector is a polish parts kit.....check the left side below the rear sight, is there a #11 in a cirlcel...followed by a year....if so its polish |
| My Vector (fixed stock) is very accurate, utterly reliable, and has a very nice finish - especially as compared against my MAK-90. A Vector underfolder will likely set you back anywhere from $650 - $800. Check www.atlanticfirearms.com and see how much they're going for there. |

You're right. circled #11 followed by the year 1991 It would be nice if Poland released more of those kits as the quality appears very good. At the time I bought it I asked about the country and he may have said poland. I do remember that he said that they used whatever kits they could get at the time. Does anyone know what happened to Vector. I had heard that they were out of business. |

the Polish parts kits are amazing kits....pretty much all dried up now, still can find them here and there but expect to pay a premium.
Yea Vector got involved in a bad business deal and it basically cost them everything.....to bad because they had some quality stuff at $500 nothing being sold on the market could even come close to the quality, fit, finish, and customer service you received.....to bad they are on the outs |
