Anyone ever see Soviet Drop Case's for the RPK for sale? I have seen a few in pics but never one for sale.

(I saved this image some time ago and have no idea who it belongs to or were it came from)

The case itself looks pretty simple...not much different than the full stocked AK drop cases. My mother is a seamstress and I'm sure she could sew up something like the pretty easily if the had one to get a templet from... and some of the original fabric/canvas.

Update
Amazing discovery... standard AK drop case fits the RPK perfectly. I'd still like to have the authentic piece but this will do for now

FYI
My 23" RPK has a muzzle nut, any other muzzle attachment could make it too long to fit into the case.

Got mine a few years ago for my SSR85, never thought to try my RPK in it. Tantal has them for ~ $25 (standard AK drop case).

BTW, thanks to my dad for the suggestion!

Hmm, I guess I DO need a drop case for a full-stocked rifle, until I get an AKS to go in the drop case I have.

Well, when I read that only 13 were imported, the same amount as those plum slings, and that I haven't seen any up to now, I figured I'd better get on the ball.

Luckily, my wife thought I should get one also, so that made the decision easier.

I LOVE my wife.
