I shot my WASR for the first time. No issues with 120 rounds. Shot nice with decent groups. After I cleaned it I was putting it back together and the rails on the bolt carrier wouldn't slide into the rails on the lower. I finally got it in place and all back together.  Is there a trick to get that aligned when reassembling?

Just practice, really. After you do it a bunch of times you'll get used to the quirks of getting it in.

Gotcha.  I thought something was wrong or broken until it finally slid in and racked just fine.

Using right hand, bolt all the way forward in the bolt carrier, thumb holding left lug of bolt to keep it forward. Insert carrier lugs into rear receiver cutouts, pressing carrier down firmly against the cocked hammer pressure. Once fully inserted push carrier forward.
