Hi all,

What are people's experiences with Red Army 7.62 X 39 ammo?  It's lead core, steel cased Russian ammo that claims to be non-toxic.  Is it really?  How accurate, and clean burning is it?

Just bought another couple hundred rounds.   Feeds well in everything.   Reasonably accurate (like most ammo/gun combos - it's better than me).   It's dirty, but no so more than Wolf, Tula, etc.

I vote with my wallet and it is my preferred ammo right now for my AKs.

Red Army is a Century brand that imports ammo from a few countries and factories.

Some of the manufacturers are better than others and none of it is great stuff but it is decent cheap ammo.

It has all been noncorrosive that I have seen.

RAS is Ok ammo. It is a repackage like Wolf. Some made in Russia, some in other places.
Not horrible and goes bang. Some folks like it, some don't.
I don't know about the non-toxic part, but is advertised as non-corrosive.
All comblock ammo should be treated as corrosive, until proven otherwise. Clean your rifle.

Happy Shopping

Thanks everyone.  I bought a 900 round case today of it and shot a few mags worth, it does seem like good ammo.
