I've got a Red Star in my Romanian. It's fully adjustable. Mine is set nearly single stage. Very nice trigger and you can set it how you like. Chinese FCG are sweet for a factory trigger. It just depends on what you are looking for. As far as price, Red Stars are never cheap.

You can set it very much like the stock Mak fcg if that is your goal. Otherwise you need US parts to un-thumbhole one so you may as well get one set just the way you want. My AR triggers are not as good as my RSA.

Red Star triggers Rock !! ... G2's aren't bad but you get what you pay for in this old world ...

As price goes, I think around $80.00 shipped (new) ... I just saw one sell on the EE for $50.00 ...

RSA triggers are the best trigger out there. It takes a little time filing the safety (easy to do) and some adjusting the set screws before they are ready to use, though. Well worth the effort.

I have never felt a Chinese trigger.

I've got two AK's with RSA triggers and they are by far the best triggers I have ever seen on AK's.   I probably wouldn't bother with them on most rifles though.   To be blunt, putting a $100 trigger on most AK's is a waste of time and money.   If it's shooting 5 MOA, (that's what my old MAK90 did), a new trigger's not going to make much difference.   If you've got a real sweet shooter though then you might want to consider it, (A .223 Saiga is practically begging for one).  The stock trigger on MAK90's can actually be tuned pretty nicely.

The cheapest I have ever seen them with shipping was about $80.00.

how are they for rapid fire and bumping, compared to the g2 trigger?

I would think they would be great. Like I said, I have mine set at almost single stage. Very little take up and about 3.5lbs pull.

RSA triggers are like JP'S for an AR only cheaper. Still around 75 to 80 bucks but easy to install and tune. Just take your time. They can be set up for single or dual stage with adjustable pre travel- over travel and let off. I have one in my Vepr .223 and a WASR-10. Fantastic performance. But I also have a MAK-90 and except for a longer pre travel is a really nice factory double hook trigger. Good luck in your choice man and have a great day..
