Very Nice! The color look awesome, I like the look of the polished BCG. How did you go about polishing it? Blue And Rust Remover With 0000 Steel Wool And Then 2000 Grit Sandpaper Then Use Notebook Paper And Rub The Hell Out Of It..(Notebook Paper Has Tiny Micro Fibers That Polishes Better Than Any Grit Sandpaper) Then Your Done! |

Did you drill the holes yourself, if so what size drill bit was used & how far apart did you space each hole? Thanks Im Not Telling Secrets....But I Can Tell Ya How Only If You Post Pics Of It After Your Done...Oh And The Instructions Will Be On My Website Soon... www.dragunovsniperrifles.webs.com Its A New Website...I Still Have To Copy ALOT Of Info And Paste It To The New Site... |

Very nice indeed but what is the purpose of venting the gas tube? I'll ask the dumb question, I'm not ashamed. Improves Gas Dispertion And Increases Accuracy...Therefore Increasing Reliability To The Already Incredible AK Platform... You're joking, right? If you're serious, please explain what difference it makes if a small amount of virtually unpressurized gas escapes from the tube. |

Thanks, I needed a laugh this morning. The one and only thing that does for you is keep your action ever so slightly cleaner due to more extra gas escaping before it circulates back into the action. |

Wow You Must Not Know Nothing Of The Kalashnikov Action...The Holes Throw The Gas Outwards...Causing An Ever So Slight Change In Pressure Hitting The Bolt Carrier...Causing Less Recoil On The Bolt Carrier And Tighter Action...Which Increases Accuracy... Thats Why The Milled Ak-47's Have Vented Gas Tubes |

Gee, I thought the '47s had vented tubes because tHEY dON'T hAVE vENTED gAS bLOCKS.
Seriously, in an AK the gas hits the piston as soon as the bullt passes the gas port. When the piston leaves the gas block, the pressure drops to nearly zero. Any remaining slightly pressurized gas would simply pass around the piston and flow down the tube, which is much larger than the piston. If the gas in the tube was under a lot of pressure you'd find out ... when the sheet metal tube blew up! |

Ok I already lit you up at least once for being just more than slightly fuck-tarded.
So I'm going to try it this way. 1. The rifle looks GREAT. I mean it, it looks good. (Yes even your gas tube holes) The red looks great, the polished bolt carrier, the whole thing looks great. I wish you had hi-res on a neutral background and it might be desk top worthy. 2. Please learn to type in a normal sentence structure. The capital letters where they aren't supposed to be makes you seem 13. 3. Please no more technical discussions that you cook up in your basement after huffing VCR cleaner, or PCP, or w/e it is you kids do these days. -While I don't think it will hurt the rifle, I'm not so sure your line of thinking with how all that stuff works is even remotely correct. In fact, I'm pretty sure all the flak you get every time you post this kind of stuff is primarily based on the fact you don't base your thoughts in fact. 4. It's not a dragunov. It's not an FPK dragunov, or PSL dragunov, or drago-PSL-inov... It's a PSL. Let it go. Why couldn't you just say "I put the holes there for looks" or "this should dump more of the gas outside my rifle instead of in it" and let that be that? |

Fine the holes are there for looks..shit..no one can put holes in a gas tube without being caught up in an argument with someone! i mean damn! i will keep my thoughts and idea's to myself..after Christmas i promise to post pics that are "Desktop worthy".. |

Okay, I'll jump in.
Your rifle looks really good and I appreciate your enthusiasm... -There's a safety for a reason (it cuts down on accidents). -Show your little brother what trigger discipline is (it cuts down on accidents). -Slice off a big ol' piece of humble pie (it cuts down on "accidents"). Again, good job on refinishing your rifle! |

no one can put holes in a gas tube without being caught up in an argument with someone! You can drill all the holes you want, it's your rifle. While I'm sure some might think there's a potential for causing malfunctions by allowing debris into the tube, my own oinion is that all that space between the tube and the piston makes that possibility remote. What you shouldn't expect to get away with is posting that the holes make the rifle more reliable and more accurate without being challenged. |

Well i noticed a big change in my rifle...so i went with that proof... |

Whoever did the refinishing job on that rifle, did indeed do a great job...my hat off to whoever it was..... |

Well i noticed a big change in my rifle...so i went with that proof... Really? Part of me wants to ask you to elaborate as to how you came to that conclusion... but... something tells me it might cause some serious back sliding on that recent progress that you just made. What REAL changes did you notice by drilling holes in the gas tube? |
| Asmodeus...you are wasting your time trying to talk to him...don't you get it, he is never wrong(check all of his posts if you don't believe me)...you say one thing, he backslides and says another. he is only a kid.....don't waste your breath. The only reason I got pissed at him is cause he gave me dangerous cartridge loading info...he has no business on these boards....BEWARE! |
| Why in the hell do you capitalize every 1st letter of each word? I mean what the fuck? Also take your damn finger off the trigger when your daddy is taking pictures of you with his rifle. Learn some discipline. Finally I want to know who you really paid to refinish that wood? |

You know making these types of statements = http://media.ebaumsworld.com/mediaFiles/picture/426145/1000309.jpg Quick heads up, some of us know how accurate a PSL actually is and what drilling holes in your gas tube really does...... yeah....... Well since you know..i was using 7n1 and a super clean barrel.. |

I'm not the only one who looks at those loads numbnuts! Everyone who reads this site can (and some may actually follow them)...if you want to give out stupid and dangerous reloading information, then I guess you can also suffer the consequences of a lawsuit if something goes wrong. The Mods need to take a look at this thread, and others posted by RomanianSniper. They also need to take a look at the civil consequences of people posting their "home brews". |

I lit him up in his first thread and got called the asshole by everyone for being so mean. Even though it was obvious to me how things were going to be from post #1.
So I just tried a slightly different approach this time thinking maybe if I was direct about the problems surrounding his posts, but genuine about the rifle being nice. He might make an effort to shape up. |
