I have a AK 74 that needs a new extractor and extractor spring.

Can I push out the extractor retainer pin to remove the extractor & extractor spring without having to remove the firing pin and the firing pin retainer pin first??

The pin that holds the firing pin also holds the extractor pin I believe since it has a notch cut in it. Its not any more work to knock the firing pin retaining pin out anyways :). If its anything like the bolt on an ak47 that is...

No. The firing pin retaining pin also retains the the extractor axle.
