I just finished building my first AK 47 today.  The rifle is a Romanian G kit dated to 1986.  It is a full serial #s matching kit.  Original barrel as well and built on a Nodak Spud receiver.  I sand blasted every metal part on the weapon and blued it.  I didn't do a very "smooth" blue job because I wanted it to look somewhat inconsistent like the rifle had some age.  I also refinished the stocks in russian red.

So what is all my labor worth?

Romy G AK on Nodak Spud #3 receiver, all numbers matching, fully blued and refinished stocks.  Oh yeah I used a Tapco trigger and a Hogue grip just because I like it better, but I have the original one too.

Nice job that's a sweet looking home build, wish I could do this. I'd love to build my own ak. As far as price I guess cost of receiver and kit plus compliance parts and whatever you value tour time is worth. The roomy g kits are pretty common, is it a us made barrel? Original barrels are more desirable.
