Iam selling an AK I built up from a romy kit years ago and have seen people referencing "romy G" kit as if it held a different value than a standard wasr rifle. I distinctly remember seeing a G on the part or parts but dont know why its significant. So what sets the G kits apart from other romanian ak variants?
It was a "GUARD" rifle. Lot's of parades & marching. It was built as full auto, but the back of the disconnector was cut to make it semi only. Good quality. The kit I still have looks like it was never fired. A guy named Bocefus was selling mint kits a few years back & I got 2. One was built into a real nice gun, & the other kit still sits. One of the last kits to come in with original barrels. Now all kits have US barrels. GARY N4KVE
Thanks for the great responses. Mine had an orange G just like the one above and had the black line on the stock. I remember looking though the barrel when I got the kit wondering if it had even been fired before. I recoated everything with moly resin and built it on a US receiver and polish underfolder. Its the nicest AK Ive owned for sure.
