| Looking at this sks looks to be decent but has a scope rear cover and not the original. Has some china compact 3x9 scope on. What would be the going price for something like this. Also without the rear cover how do I find out what year it is? Sn has like a upside down V then P and 4 numbers then Russsia SKS-45. |

'53 or '54 Tula refurb, black bolt carrier, refinish on arctic birch stock or just later blonde stock replacement with non matching serial number, can't really tell. upper handguard retains original Russian Red shellac, KBI Imported. Worst posted pics for ident request award winner! UFO pics, Bigfoot caliber. I guessed. Could be CAI imported too, Could be my shit phone screen too. Note all serial numbers: bolt carrier, bolt, bottom of mag, bottom of trigger guard, side of stock, butt plate, electro penciled serials too: Gas tube, bolt, op rod, serial # strike outs if any, all of it. post better pics, get more stamp and cartoochie pics, report back? Philbilly has spoken straight, his words are strong and I have heard them. Solid starting point at $500. Muzzle and crown should indicate chrome lining, without recrown accurizing attempts. Bolt face will have a primer ring from use but rust/ pitting on muzzle or bolt face will be a price detractor upon close inspection. Gas tube, same. Scope mounted receiver cover allen screw dimples, ditto Heavy cosmoline is a great indicator of unmolested condition...most times. Have fun! I enjoy assisting with combloc research. @me bro! |

| Been looking for some clips for the sks found some at a decent price at sarco. The shipping is very slow from them ordered the 25th and still hasn't shipped yet. I just seen shipping is usually 7 to 10 business days. From the pics looks to be the cheap ncstar ones but marked ctc. The description is very vague. |

last month or so a local shop had a few SKS they got in at once. I was shocked there was a Russian Tula return in the lot, $500, Norincos from $600? The Norincos all sold quickly the Russian one sat a long time - teasing me until someone else finally bought it. Kind of Suprised Russian was less, perhaps anti-Russian sentiment amount the young and or the Chinese AK pricing has infected SKS as well. |
