OK new to forum...
My Q is about the SA93 I have on layaway. I am curious about the furniture, heat shield and odd looking flash hider(im assuming its a hider bc of no hole to vent?). Anyways all the info I can dig up online show these as coming with wood thumbhole furniture? | Looks like someone swapped out the thumbhole for standard polymer furniture. The upper handguard is an aftermarket piece as is the flash hider. The SA93's don't have any threads at the muzzle, so they used a set screw adapter to install the hider. When you pick it up, first thing to do is remove the hider/set screw adapter since it's going to end up down range eventually. Also, I would change out the upper handguard, but that's just me. All in all, it looks like a nice piece. |

I own 3 milled Arsenals and my SA 93 is the smoothest action I have. It is as close to a Type 3 Bulgarian(original milled AK) as you can get. Any milled Arsenal is worth $700 at that price it is a real bargin. Mine will shoot as accurate as any AR with open sights.
Threw some Bulgy wood on her just to see what she would look like, I will change out the FSB and GB when time permits.

I think it is worth $700. In your pictures, it is hard to see a lower tang on the stock, so it may not be as strong without the lower tang.
I would replace the plastic stocks for wood, Ironwood design has excellent selections. I would also thread the front of the barrel and install the flash hider detent. I did that to mine but I didn't make it correct or anything, I just did it to what I think looks good. It is the 2nd one from the top:
