Just finished my SAR1. Wanted to give it a tactical look. Here's how it turned out.... I made a couple of changes. Added new rear grip and a riser to the T-6 stock. below is the new picture. looks good, as long as you're happy. the ar stocks just dont do anything for me on an ak. i love the synth tactical look and i'm working on one of my ak's looking like that. but i'm not about to put the car stock on there. i also prefer the TDI underguard better than the one you've got. but to each their own. what kind of handguards are those; and the 74 break was a much needed addition.

I figured the traditionalist would not care for it too much. I don't care for the side folder stocks, nothing available makes for a very good cheek weld for sighting. The T-6 stock is better but not perfect. There is nothing else out there I have seen to improve on it as yet. The forward pistol grip I like much better than the wood grip I had. I can change mags much easier. I also opted for the Bushnell holosight over the Kobra sight since I have one on my M-4 and used to it. The butt stock came from Tapco and the front stock and muzzle brake came from tacticalgears.com. The Threader I bought from Brownells. That was very easy to do. Sorry if it is a little too much for the Kalashnikov crowd but is is very functional as a tactical rifle. I'm very happy with it. |
