What can you tell me about this rifle. What would be a good price? Thanks |

the hungarians built one of the nicest akm's ever imported. they feature authentic akm detailing and finish, are fitted with great looking elm wood and are highly desirable as collectors and shooters. pre-ban models are all impoted by kassnar's and were availble in fixed and underfolding types. they were shipped with the classic, distincive contoured wood pistol grip and rarely, the blond/brown bakelite grip. post-ban versions are stamped as imported by k.b.i. and were fitted with an elm thumbhole that was almost attractive. the early units had a welded muzzle nut and subsequent sales featured a smooth muzzle sans attachment. prices for pre-ban rifle run the gamut from $1000 for a fixed stock (more typically $1200-1400) to $1200 and up for a folder ($1600, more typically). post-ban versions can be had from the "deal" range of $300-350 to $500 for a nib version. |
| These are probably the best ak's on the market. I have a post-ban and it comes with a nice blond thumbhole stock that is very comfortable. The fit and finish on them are top knotch. They are well built ak's and excellent shooters. A good price on the post ban would be $350-$425. A good price for a pre ban would be around $1100-$1200. |
