[ARCHIVED THREAD] - SGL21 parkerizing

Are the SGL series rifles parked everywhere? For some reason I think parkerizing is ultra sharp looking so if I end up buying one, I'd be looking at stripping off that black paint

Has anyone done this? Wouldn't want to end up with any bare metal...

No, its just a baked on paint finish over bare metal

I dunno about the Arsenal ones. My Saiga imported by RAA had the ugliest park job I'd ever seen under the paint...

i need to do something with my 12's finish. i lent it to my brother-in-law and he used break cleaner after his trip to the range.
