Ok, Im sure you've all heard this a thousand times but here i go anyway.

I've been wanting to get an SKS for a couple years now and just got around to doing it.
I bought one off of Gunbroker for a winning bid of $205 plus $25 for FedX-FFL shipping then another $20 to my FFL on my end for a total of $250.
I don't have the rifle yet but in the auction it was described as 'all numbers matching, unfired, cleaned condition' and it looks good in the action pictures.
I want an SKS because and I don't know why but 'I' think it's a good looking rifle and for centerfire ammo 7.62x39 is relatively cheap or at least a little cheaper than the .243 Win. and .223/5.56 I shoot.

I also ordered from Aim one of their SKS bipods:
www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/AK_SKS_Rifle_Barrel_Mount_Bi-Pod.html
Are these bipods ok or absolute junk?
Got some ammo I have never shot or even heard of:
www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Golden_Tiger_7.62x39_124grn_FMJ.html

Is the Golden Tiger good to shoot from an SKS without cases sticking in a hot chamber?
BTW, it's a Yugoslavian SKS.

Thanks guys

I have no experience with "that" bipod, but then I hate bipods in general unless you are always going to use it(like a dedicated long range rifle and that is not a Yugo). Any bipod will affect the impact point compared to shooting without. Also I refuse to mount ANYTHING to the barrel....EVER  That will affect the point of impact more than anything else you can do to the rifle. The golden tiger ammo is just fine, and shoots well. If you got a good price on it, buy more before the cost goes up. I enjoy my Yugo's quite a bit. I have 1 unaltered, and 1 that I added a scope mount due to my eye's getting a little older.

I have a 1970 YUGO M59/66 A1 unissued I left my rifle unaltered except for a new gas valve.  The Golden Tiger is great ammo it shoots  2 1/2 in groups at 100yds.  with iron sights with no problems the Brown Bear is equally as good stay away from the wolf ammo if possible right now there having allot of quality  control problems. As far as the bi-pod goes try shooting your rifle with and without it see how and if it affect accuracy.  If you ever  decide to scope it don't waste your money on the receiver mounts they don't hold zero.  Go with  either a scout mount or the Choate drill and tap mount you want be disappointed buy either of those.
