How do you remember wich is wich?

Forward up is safe.  Down and back is fire.

Forward touches your finger while reaching for the trigger.  It might hurt under what little recoil an SKS has.  That is how I remember.

I think I'll use a wood burner to write that on the stock so I remember.

That'll work.  Dryfire it a few times to check.

I remember because you have to sweep the safety off to fire, if that makes any sense. Kinda flip it down when putting your finger in the trigger guard

Which way do you press the trigger to make the bullets come out?

After a couple trips to the range, you will remember.  No need to mark it, you will probably only look at it once anyway.

I just fired my SKS last night.  It had been just around a year since the last dance and I sighted in the new Tech-site peep sight.  I didn't forget how the safety worked.

The sight is a very nice piece of hardware!!!
