A friend of mine is getting one of these soon and the dealer has another one left for $480 out the door. My only complaint is that is doesn`t have a 74 MB on it.

Its a really nice AK-74 way better than my SAR2.

How would I hook up the rifle with a 74MB and not have a permanent 74MB? Thanks

I also saw one of these rifles at a local gunshow, for $500.  They are very nice.  The muzzle abortion does suck, though.  I would imagine that you would have to replace the front sight base with a new, proper Bulgarian one.  Then, the mizzle brake could be installed.  When Arsenal makes these rifles with the proper muzzle brake, I'll buy one.

How long do you think it`ll be before Arsenal puts out a Non Ban 74? The thing is I don`t want a project gun. They either take forever for me to finish or they never get finished.

But unlike a SAR2 this gun looks hot!

i think its a pin on brake so just remove it thread barrel and install a 14x1 lh brake fairly simple
or if you dont want to deal with it just take it to a show and have someone there do it for you

I should be getting my shipment of no ban SLR-105A's next week.

They are already sold.

Arsenal is importing another model designation, which will have all the evil features once it hits the market.

Be patient, some really, really, REALLY uber-cool stuff is coming out from Arsenal Inc.

The front sight assembly on the SLR-105 needs to be pushed off and then you just push the new AK-74 front sight assembly that has the bayo lug and the 24" threads built in and just add Bulgarian '74 brake, and you can turn a post ban compliant SLR-105 into an AK-74.

I would NOT advise knocking front sight and threading the muzzle.  This is not an AKM, it's an AK-74.

Do the -105s have lugs on the gas block? I was under the assumption they didn't.

The SLR-105A's do not have the accessory lug under the gas block.

The new models that they are working on getting into the county/ATF approval on that will be out next year (which is right around the corner) should have the accessory lug under the gas block, as well as the '74 front sight assembly.

Arsenal has released small quantities and will be releasing more as time goes on.

I have an SLR105A1 (no ban) for sale in the equipment exchange on this board.

I ended up buying 2 slr-105's in awesome deal. I think the best and easiest way to get the correct look is to buy a complete barrel assembly and have it pressed in.From what I saw it looks flawless, my dealer had it done for $140 parts and labor. Oh, by the way the finish and workmanship on both of those guns is incredibly perfect.I would recommend anyone interested in a true bulgarian ak-74 varient to definitely pick one up!
