What can be done to an Arsenal SLR-101 to reduce trigger slap? Is changing the trigger the best option?

I don't know, but you might want to change the hammer anyway.  On mine I think they left the original hammer, which didn't contact the bolt carrier properly, and damaged both the hammer and bolt carrier.  They replaced them both.  The oiginal hammer would also go forward and hit the ejector when the bolt carrier wasn't in.  

Anyway, you may be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

What does the disconnector look like?  You may need to reshape it as shown on linx310's site.
