Well, I have neither the OOW or Global Trades receivered SSR-56,...but I've got the third flavor, the FEG receiver SSR-56!

Definitely the nicest looking of my AKs, as well as the heaviest.  It's a little over 2 years old.

mine has a problem they won't fix, it was a problem that was with their production line, the front site had to be pushed all the way to the right to shoot straight, when I took it back and I told em to fix it, they canted my fsb to the right so the front sight blade is center, they gave it back and won't touch it, they are very rude about it, it shoots good, I get good groupings, but I don't know how to fix it

Here you go.  It's an SSR-56-2.  I got it directly from Global Trades (shipped to an FFL, of course).  After having mine for about 6 months, I can't say that I have any complaints.

That would piss me off. I had the same problem with my Bushmaster AR, except, of course, it was the rear sight moved way over towards one side.

I had the rifle back, fixed, and in my hands a little over a week later. No charge.

That's customer service.

I wont ever do buisness with Global Trades.

I really do like that Blonde Wood set, I might get it for my WASR.

Here are some pics of an SSR-85C (Arsenal USA/Global Trades AK) built on a Hungarian FEG receiver using heavy barrell Polish AK47 parts.  I'm currently selling it to help cover some of what I paid for some prebans this week.

Link? Price?

I don't know what the rules are here so I won't post a link.  The gun is listed on Auction Arms right now.  Last I looked it was at $400 which is $50 bellow the reserve.  I'll sell it for whatever the ending price ends up being as its close enough to the reserve now.

That sucks Murdoc.  Was it Jimmy or Ron that said they wouldn't fix it?  I recently purchased an underfolder from them that has a slightly canted front sight that puts me about 9" to the right at 100.  I've talked to jimmy and he said he would fix it, but I just haven't had time to go down there yet.  Let me know you gave you such bad service.

the fat one, I went to them over 5 times, I really wanted an ak or I would of given back, they treated me very badly, the secretary is his daughter, she reatedme like I was some pos, I really dont know what to do, its been a year, the Bbl isnt crooked, they couldnt figure it out neither can I

oh yea the big guy told me the chrome will shot out in like 2 o 3 hundred rounds, he's an idiot

can anyone help me with this rifle?

[#15]
also they said that if you have to change the windage anywhere thats still on the front sight it's still milspec and it's ok, mine was allll the way to the right, and that's why they treated me like crap
11/27/2004 4:59:39 PM EDT
[#16]
Yep, that sounds like Ron.  He told me the same bullshit at a gun show after I bought my underfolder.   Jimmy has always been helpful and I will call him directly and maybe you should do the same.  My sight was actually canted to the right when I bought it and I pointed it out to them and they fixed it, I thought.  When I shot it in that's when I noticed it was slightly off to the left.  This should not happen after you spend $550 for a new AK.  I've had good luck in the past with Global, but there is no way I'd buy from them sight unseen.  Maybe this is why ORF and Arsenal Inc rifles command higher prices.

Arsenal IS Global Trades.

No.

Arsenal USA\Global Trades is now Armory USA.

They changed their name due to confusion caused due to people confusing them with Arsenal, INC.

Arsenal Inc does indeed offer a better and much more expensive product.

I love my ak, I've refinished the stocks, and I don't turs them to fix it, it shoots fine, I just don't know who to trust to fix it in Houston, any help would be great :D

oh their new ak under folders are the ban ones that they wielded metal on it and grinded a bayo lug out of it, it looked like crap and it will break if you try and use it as a bayo

I'm pretty sure that what we are seeing at Texas shows being sold by Armory USA/Global Trades right now are rifles & pistols that they are putting together themselves in Houston - only a limited number (for instance about 10 of their pistols and a very few underfolders).

Interstate has been given sole rights to market and distribute their newest line of AKs which are being made in Bulgaria by former Arsenal of Bulgaria employees (Arsenal of Bulgaria makes Arsenal Inc AKs).  There is reason to hope that quality will be the same as that of the Arsenal Inc AKs at that time.

However, problem is this has been going on for months now.  Interstate doesn't show jack on their website and whenever a dealer contacts them they are treated very rudely.  If one were to ask my opinion, Armory USA made a very poor choice as to their distributor.
