I'm hoping to pick up a few sbr's in the next few years and have been wondering, what are minimum requirements for a safe? I haven't been able to find any laws that specify. Does it have to be a $1000+ heavy safe, or will a thin-skinned $200- safe from Wally World or Dunham's do? Also wondering if being an apartment dweller will be an issue. Thanks |
| For an apartment dweller, a Zanotti Armor Safe is one option. Also folks have taken several $499 StackOn Safes and bolted them side by side for added security. For NFA items, I would get a safe with a decent fire rating. |

Ohio Revised Code, Title 29 §2923.19 For definition of a "dagerous ordnance" see Ohio Revised Code, Title 29 §2923.11 |
| Better be "SAFE" than sorry. Think about how much your firearms total value is (or in this case wil be...) Now, think about putting them in a "cheap" safe.......Thought not. Not only that, don't just buy a safe, buy a "fire safe", especially if you have investment grade firearms. |
My dad always says that too..... |
