I've scowered the internet and all i could find was a pic of a guy who had it done but no info on how. Any idea how i would go about this? Would a Polish underfolder trunnion and stock work?

It will likely work fine.  But first you will need to remove the tang block, weld up the old holes, drill the new holes and install the underfolder parts like riveting in the underfolder rear block.

Try here.  Several guys on the Siaga 12.com 7.62x39 forum have done them, I believe.

It is a very straight forward conversion. Here is my S20, done with a polish Trunnion and folder.

I did my conversion using a mill. Remove the rear trunnion, and the scope rail from the rifle. Then fit the underfolder trunnion into the receiver. Mill out all the needed holes, for the folder, and rivet the new trunnion in place. Weld up all the factory holes and you are GTG. Takes bout 2-3 hours.

Thanks for the info. Doesn't seem like much work.

Does it have to be stamped receiver?  I have a SA85 and Bulgarian milled (never fired).  Which one would be easier?  I really like my SA85 and was going to just put on new furniture, restore the gas block with bayo lug and put a slant brake on but there is some about the thought of an unfolder.

Guess it would a be a frankenstein no matter which one I use.  Maybe it's time to move to a normal state.

SA85 on top:

SA85 on very difficult conversion.

Also note that the rivet pattern on the UF trunnion will be slightly different from the factory trunnion. You will need to weld up the old holes.

They allow that in CA for a rifle that isn't preban?

I sure wouldn't make either of those into underfolders but if you have to do it to one the KBI would be the one.

As long as its 922r...why not?

I sure wouldn't make either of those into underfolders....

I am there now.  But I had to first squash my inner Mall Ninja.  I think I am there...it just took some time.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking but I don't think I am willing to go through all the work and possibly f*&% up my KBI.
