I am using the RSR1 rear sight rail on one of my Yugo underfolders and I like it. It is a clever design that is rock-solid on the rifle. Quality is typical Samson - very high. It has a back-up iron sight built into the rail that is usable with the optic in place. The rail puts the optic higher than an Ultimak (I like and use the Ultimak but I wanted to keep the wood handguards on this rifle) and the cheekweld is really a chinweld. The Samson cheek rest would go a long ways toward correcting this, but I haven't pursued it. I find the set-up very usable as-is since my expectations of a cheekweld on an underfolding stock is really low to begin with. Even though I don't use it, I would really recommend the Samson cheek rest in conjunction with the RSR1 for most people. Pic of my rifle with the RSR1 and a Bushnell TRS-25:  |
