I'm considering buying a Meopta Artemis 2000 1.5-6x42 and was wondering if the 1.5 magnification is low enough to aim with both eyes ope, thanks for your help.

Probably. Depends on how the field of view and eye relief allow the mind to overlap both views, at least in my experience. Practice with the concept helps also.
