| Okay, since I bought two ak's I've now officially got the bug. This is almost as bad as duck hunting. Anyway, I recently bought a MAK 90 and a FEG Hungarian SA-85M (SSR-85). Love both of the them. Question is, where can I find a sidefolder in 7.62x39? I really like the tantal folder but none of them seem to be in 7.62x39. Any ideas? Budget is $600-$700. I'm okay with used but not abused if anyone wants to part with one. I'm trying to stay away from underfolders. Thanks |
My first thought would be to put a wire side folder on one of your AK's you already have, but that takes the "need" out of the equation I've seen WASR's with wire side folders but they are hit or miss quality wise, you could always get a Saiga and convert it and put one on it? You'd more than likely come in under your budget, wire side folders sell for about $50 depending on country of mfg.

| I always liked the Polytech sidefolder, but the new Arsenal's side folder is nice too. I don't like the wire folding stocks. Oh wait sorry didn't notice your budget, the Polytech would be too much for sure, but you might be able to find a deal on an Arsenal maybe. |
