So has anyone brought products from Snake Hound Machine? Any reviews or feelings on his guns, and products?
Thanks http://snakehoundmachine.com/ |
| No experience at all other than when I attended Shot Show this year I got to speak to him for a bit at the Mission First Tactical booth. He seemed like a nice guy, and his rifles seemed nice. I just was wondering if anyone has any experience with his products. I been wanting to get like one really nice AK like a Rifle Dynamics but thought I might try one of Snake Hound's if anyone had any good experiences with him. |
| My saiga-12 was converted by Owen at Snake Hound Machine when he first moved to Manchester, NH. It is fine, but I don't have the knowledge to judge much. I do know how people feel about screw builds and I tend to agree. I believe the recently Owen has said that he can do rivets. Some of his guns have gone for crazy money because there were some 1 MOA claims made about at least one of the guns. Also he got a lot of publicity at the height of the panic, so the prices reflected that. He does put modified TAPCO G2 triggers and his own spring set in most if not all of the builds which feel really nice. He has a bit of a cult of personality going on and is good at self promoting and aligning himself with names in the industry. I am not personally a fan of MFT and some of the concepts for his products. I have met with him in person and done business with him and he is a nice dude. I encourage you all to at least check out his stuff in person before knocking it. |
